Russian Disinformation in the War in Ukraine  

“In the modern world, information is not only a weapon in the economic and social  sense, it is also a weapon used by the military,” explains Dr Renata Rozbicka of  UWM’s Department of Social Communication and Media.

“The goal is not to inform, but to create chaos and disinformation—aimed not only  at armed forces, but above all at decision-making centres and entire societies.”

In her presentation, Dr Rozbicka analyses the tools and techniques Russia uses to  spread disinformation in the context of its war against Ukraine.
