What is the primary goal of Russian propaganda and disinformation in Poland? Above all, it is to undermine public trust in the state and its allies, thereby weakening society’s resilience to external threats.
“The common thread running through Russian propaganda and disinformation is the deliberate exploitation of Poles’ sense of threat, isolation, and injustice,” emphasises Professor Marek Melnyk of the University of Warmia and Mazury. “The aim is to convince people that the state cannot protect them and that their allies cannot be trusted.”
