A recent report from Google's Threat Analysis Group (TAG) has revealed the removal of a significant number of YouTube channels involved in spreading disinformation, including content related to Poland.
In its latest quarterly bulletin, released in July 2025, TAG stated that approximately 34,000 YouTube channels linked to sources in China, Russia, and other countries have been terminated since the beginning of 2025 for spreading disinformation.
In the second quarter of 2025 (April–June), TAG removed nearly 11,000 channels, including over 2,000 connected to Russia and over 7,000 linked to China. This represents a considerable decrease compared to the first quarter of the year, which saw over 23,000 accounts removed.
Both reports also highlight instances of Polish content.
FEBRUARY
TAG reported: “We blocked 47 domains associated with a campaign linked to an entity known as Doppelgänger. The campaign published content in Arabic, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Polish, and Ukrainian, supporting Russia while criticising Ukraine and the West.”
“We removed 32 YouTube channels with content in English, French, German, Polish, Turkish, and Ukrainian supporting Russia while criticising Ukraine.”
MARCH
“We removed 12 YouTube channels publishing pro-Russian content in French, German, Polish, and Russian.”
And: “We removed two YouTube channels with Polish-language content supporting Russia and criticising Ukraine, the EU, as well as the Polish government.”
“22 channels were taken down – with content in English, Polish, Russian, and Ukrainian that promoted Russia, while targeting Poland, Ukraine, and the West.”
