Nearly 100,000 people watched the video and read the accompanying comment falsely claiming that a Ukrainian man had killed three people in Kraków
“At 3.53 pm in Kraków, a murder was committed. A man armed with a semi-automatic pistol opened fire on a group of people, killing a 21-year- old man and two 19-year-old girls. According to the prosecutor’s office, the perpetrator is from Ukraine. The man has been arrested and charged with murder committed with exceptional cruelty, visa violations, and psychological abuse of third parties. These charges are among the most serious — classified as level 4 — and carry a potential life sentence. Reportedly, the Ukrainian man is to be deported and will serve his sentence in a Ukrainian prison” —this post appeared on TikTok. It still
remains online.
#dc #DC #fyp
The police responded swiftly. “Information is circulating online about an alleged triple murder in Kraków
committed by a person of Ukrainian nationality. We categorically deny this! No such incident has taken place in Kraków or anywhere in the Małopolska region,” the Małopolska Police wrote on Facebook.
That leaves one question: why haven’t the police or the prosecutor’s office taken action against the person responsible for spreading this hate?
